So one night I was moseying down H St. in DC and low and behold, I stumble upon the homie Tittsworth with Willy Joy sitting on some random stoop filming an interview. No big deal. But apparently, “Titts, Tatts, & Octopi” is the end result of that night. Here they are, in all their shining glory, talking to Dubco about the beginnings of moombahton, U Street Music Hall, and how it all affected the EDM scene as a whole. I’m still excited to hear about everybody’s first impressions of moombahton and how they started producing and DJing the genre. It never gets old to me. And honestly, I took a lot of solace from the fact that Titts wasn’t too sold on moombahton at its genesis because I wasn’t either. But look at us now.
Also, make sure you watch THIS VIDEO for “La Campana”, my favorite track from the Two Strokes Raw EP by Tittsworth & Alvin Risk.
